The challenge
Eleven stores and the webstore each held their own stock numbers, so online orders were regularly cancelled for items already sold in store.
What we did
- Built a central inventory service as the single source of truth.
- Synced POS sales and online orders in near real time.
- Added click-and-collect with per-store fulfilment queues.
- Gave store staff a simple pick-and-pack view on tablets.
The outcome
- One accurate stock view across all 11 stores and online.
- Oversell cancellations nearly eliminated.
- Click-and-collect became a meaningful share of online revenue.
