The challenge
A craft collective sold on behalf of members and reconciled every payout by hand, which capped how many vendors it could accept.
What we did
- Built vendor onboarding with verification and self-serve catalogue management.
- Implemented commission and tax rules per vendor category.
- Automated split payouts and statements through Stripe Connect.
- Added dispute, refund and returns workflows for both sides.
The outcome
- 420 vendors onboarded without adding admin headcount.
- Payout reconciliation fully automated.
- Average order value up after cross-vendor cart launched.
